The EBC Brakes Ultimax2 series is a premium OE-equivalent brake pad designed for the demands of urban and daily driving. Manufactured at EBC’s Bristol plant in the UK, these pads utilize a high-friction European-spec compound that provides consistent stopping power across a universal heat range while minimizing rotor wear. Unlike budget alternatives that contain up to 50% steel fiber, the Ultimax2 uses a specialized, low-percentage steel fiber blend to maintain a high level of performance with significantly less dust and noise.
This compound is fully ECE R 90 approved, ensuring the same safety and performance standards as original equipment parts at a more accessible price point. Each pad set is engineered with shims, slots, and chamfers to reduce harmonic vibration and prevent brake squeal during operation.
