EBC Redstuff ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use and premium sedans where low dust and high stopping power are critical. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles, offering a significant upgrade over original equipment by providing a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5. These pads are designed to provide consistent braking performance from cold while resisting heat fade during repeated heavy braking.
The Redstuff material is specifically formulated to reduce brake dust by approximately 50-90% compared to semi-metallic alternatives. The minimal dust produced is non-abrasive and lacks the steel fiber particles found in many other compounds, making it much easier to clean from alloy wheels. Each pad features EBC's proprietary Brake-In surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Please note that as a hard-wearing ceramic material, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles to properly conform to the rotor shape.
