EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use and premium driving conditions where low dust and high stopping power are priorities. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver a high-friction coefficient (nominal 0.5) while significantly reducing brake dust compared to OE or semi-metallic alternatives. Unlike traditional metallic pads, Redstuff contains no steel fibers, making any residual dust non-abrasive and easier to remove from alloy wheels.
These pads provide strong initial bite from cold and maintain consistent performance as heat levels rise, making them ideal for repeated heavy braking on fast road applications. Each pad features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In red surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Note that due to the hard-wearing nature of this ceramic material, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles of driving.
