This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5, providing a significant performance increase over factory equipment. Designed to handle repeated heavy braking without significant heat fade, Redstuff pads offer excellent initial bite from cold and improve as they reach operating temperatures. Each pad set features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In™ surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bedding process. Note that due to the hard-wearing nature of the ceramic material, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles to perfectly match the rotor profile.
