EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use and premium sedans. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver significantly lower dust levels—reducing visible brake dust by 60-90% compared to original equipment pads. Unlike semi-metallic pads, Redstuff contains no steel fiber particles, making any residual dust easy to remove with a standard wash.
Designed to provide a strong cold bite comparable to or better than OE pads, Redstuff continues to improve as the brakes heat up, offering a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5. Each pad features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In surface coating to help condition the rotor and accelerate the bedding process. Note that due to the hard-wearing ceramic material, these pads require a patient bed-in period of up to 1,000 miles to fully conform to the rotor surface.
