EBC Brakes Redstuff ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use on premium sedans and sport compacts. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver a high nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 while significantly reducing brake dust by 60% to 90% compared to original equipment. Unlike semi-metallic pads, the Redstuff formula contains no steel fibers, making any residual dust non-abrasive and easier to remove from alloy wheels.
Designed for repeated heavy braking, these pads maintain performance as temperatures rise and have been proven to reduce stopping distances at high speeds. The pads feature EBC’s proprietary Brake-In surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Note that as a hard-wearing compound, these pads require a patient bed-in period of approximately 1,000 miles to fully conform to the rotor surface.
