EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered as a premium performance upgrade for spirited street use and luxury touring. Utilizing a ceramic-enhanced synthetic fiber compound, these pads provide a high nominal friction coefficient of 0.5, offering significantly improved stopping power over standard OE components. The advanced material is designed to operate effectively from cold while maintaining thermal stability as temperatures rise during repeated braking.

A primary benefit of the Redstuff compound is the substantial reduction in brake dust, typically 60-90% less than conventional semi-metallic pads. Because the compound contains no steel fiber particles, the minimal dust produced is non-abrasive and easily removed during standard washing. Each pad features the EBC Brake-In surface coating, which mildly conditions the rotor surface during initial use to accelerate the seating process. Note that as a hard-wearing compound, these pads may require a bed-in period of up to 1,000 miles to achieve full rotor contact.
