EBC Racing SG Series 2-piece rotors are designed as a high-performance replacement for the factory brake discs. By utilizing a lightweight aluminum center bell (hub) and a high-carbon cast iron friction ring, these rotors significantly reduce unsprung rotational mass. This reduction in weight leads to sharper steering response, improved tire road-holding, and more efficient heat management under heavy braking conditions.

The fully floating design utilizes high-strength stainless steel bobbins to allow the friction ring to expand and contract independently of the hub, preventing rotor warping and brake fade. These rotors are also cost-effective for long-term use; when the friction rings eventually wear, they can be replaced individually while reusing the original aluminum center bells and hardware.
