The EXEDY Hyper Single Series clutch is engineered to optimize the performance of moderately modified vehicles that require higher clamp load and torque capacity than a standard single-plate clutch, without the weight or complexity of a multi-plate setup. It utilizes a purple anodized, forged aluminum cover that provides significantly more stiffness than stamped steel covers. This increased rigidity allows for a higher lever ratio, maintaining manageable pedal effort while eliminating the clamp load deflection common in pressed metal covers.
The pressure plate features integrated turbine-like, air flow enhancing vanes designed to keep the friction surfaces cooler under extreme operating conditions. This improves wear life and ensures consistent engagement during performance driving. This clutch system is SFI Certified for safety and reliability.
