Engineered to improve throttle response and acceleration, the Fidanza 112621 Aluminum Flywheel significantly reduces rotating mass compared to the heavy factory unit. By being 40% to 60% lighter than stock, this flywheel lowers the Moment of Inertia (MOI), allowing the engine to free up horsepower and reach its powerband more quickly. The body is CNC-machined from high-grade billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for a precise balance of strength and weight reduction.
For long-term durability, Fidanza utilizes a replaceable friction plate made from heat-treated steel, allowing for future clutch refreshes without replacing the entire flywheel. The assembly features military-spec fasteners for maximum reliability under high-load conditions and a hardened 1050 steel ring gear for consistent starter engagement.
