The Fidanza 8lb aluminum flywheel (MPN 191471) is engineered to reduce rotational mass and lower the Moment of Inertia (MOI), providing significantly faster throttle response and quicker acceleration. Weighing 40% to 60% less than stock units, it frees up horsepower by reducing parasitic drag without sacrificing idle quality or drivability. Unlike one-piece designs, this flywheel features a serviceable construction that allows for long-term performance and easy maintenance.
The body is CNC machined from high-tensile billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for optimum heat dissipation and strength. It features a replaceable friction plate made from heat-treated 1050 steel, secured with military-spec fasteners. This modular design means you can refresh the clutch mating surface without replacing the entire assembly. The hardened 1050 steel ring gear is also replaceable and provides durable starter engagement.
