The Fidanza 172661 Aluminum Flywheel is engineered to significantly reduce rotational mass, offering a 40% to 60% weight reduction compared to heavy factory cast-iron units. By lowering the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this performance flywheel allows your Triumph 2.5L engine to rev more freely, delivering sharper throttle response and faster acceleration through the gears. The main body is CNC-machined from high-tensile billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for superior strength and heat dissipation.
Unlike many performance flywheels, this unit is designed for long-term serviceability. It features a bolt-on replaceable 1050 steel friction plate, allowing you to refresh the clutch surface without replacing the entire flywheel. The hardened 1050 steel ring gear is secured with military-spec fasteners to ensure reliable starter engagement and hardware integrity under high-RPM use.
