Engineered to reduce rotational mass, the Fidanza aluminum flywheel (MPN 186471) is 40-60% lighter than stock components. This significant reduction in the Moment of Inertia (MOI) allows for faster throttle response and quicker acceleration by freeing up horsepower that would otherwise be used to turn a heavy cast iron flywheel. The body is CNC machined from billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum, providing a strong, lightweight foundation that withstands high-RPM use.
The friction surface is a heat-treated, bolt-on replaceable plate, ensuring optimum grip and long service life without requiring a total flywheel replacement when worn. Note: When selecting a replacement friction kit, confirm the bolt pattern (18 vs 20) for your specific flywheel before purchase.
