Properly sealing your 5.0L Coyote engine during a cylinder head service requires high-quality fasteners and gaskets designed for extreme thermal loads. This Ford Performance (Ford Racing) Head Changing Kit includes the essential components needed to complete the job on 2018 and newer engines that utilize 12mm head bolts. The kit features Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gaskets that provide a robust seal against high combustion pressures, making them ideal for both factory and high-performance applications.
This kit replaces factory components with high-strength fasteners to ensure the correct clamp load is applied to the cylinder heads. Because these 12mm head bolts are torque-to-yield (TTY), they must be replaced every time the heads are removed to prevent fastener fatigue or failure.
