The FOX 2.5 Performance Series IFP rear shock is engineered to increase off-road capability by extending drop-out travel while maintaining on-road comfort. Unlike standard steel-body shocks, the 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body dissipates heat four times more effectively, significantly reducing shock fade during aggressive use. The internal floating piston (IFP) design separates the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the shock oil, preventing aeration and ensuring consistent, velocity-sensitive damping in demanding terrain.

Built for longevity, these shocks feature a 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft and a race-developed high-flow piston. The Type II clear-anodized finish provides superior corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
