The Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoir front shock (MPN: 980-24-964) delivers a significant upgrade in off-road damping and on-road comfort. Built for heavy-duty applications with a 0-1 inch lift, these shocks utilize an external reservoir to increase oil and nitrogen capacity. This design provides superior heat dissipation and prevents the fade common in factory twin-tube shocks during sustained technical use. The 6061-T6 aluminum body further aids in cooling, dissipating heat four times faster than conventional steel shocks.
- Body: 2.0-inch metal-impacted 6061-T6 aluminum with clear anodized finish
- Reservoir: External remote reservoir for increased oil capacity and cooling
- Shaft: 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel
- Piston: Race-developed high-flow design with application-specific valving
- Internal Components: Internal Floating Piston (IFP) separates oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas
- Bushings: Quiet nitrile rubber hour glass bushings for increased articulation
- Hardware: Includes CNC-machined black anodized aluminum reservoir clamp
- Travel: 5.9-inch stroke optimized for front-end geometry
