The Fox 2.5 Factory Series 12-inch Air Shock (MPN: 980-02-241) is engineered to deliver adjustable spring rates and race-proven damping in a single, compact package. Built to withstand the rigors of rock crawling and desert racing, this shock utilizes an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) to separate the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the oil, preventing cavitation and ensuring consistent performance during high-speed cycling or technical climbs.
Constructed with a 2.5-inch seamless alloy steel body and a massive 1-5/8 inch hard-chromed shaft, this unit provides the structural integrity required for heavy-duty off-road use. The black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components offer superior corrosion resistance and heat dissipation compared to standard steel hardware, while the hourglass bushings allow for the increased articulation necessary for extreme suspension travel.
