The Fox Performance Series 2.5 Rear IFP (Internal Floating Piston) shock is designed to improve vehicle control and off-road capability by increasing drop-out travel and providing superior heat dissipation. Built with a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body, this shock dissipates heat four times more effectively than traditional steel bodies. The internal floating piston architecture separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, eliminating oil aeration and ensuring consistent, fade-free damping performance on technical trails or washboard roads.

Each shock is equipped with a Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) piston and application-specific valving to reduce vehicle sway and improve on-road comfort. The 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft provides excellent durability, while the Type II clear-anodized finish protects the assembly from corrosion in harsh environments. These shocks are fully serviceable and re-tunable, making them a long-term suspension solution for vehicles with 0 to 2 inches of rear lift.
