The GiroDisc A2-282 is a high-performance 2-piece slotted rear rotor designed as a direct replacement for the factory one-piece rotors on the BMW G8X platform. By utilizing a lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum hat and a proprietary high-carbon cast iron friction ring, these rotors reduce unsprung weight and rotational inertia, improving both suspension compliance and acceleration.
- Advanced Cooling: Internal curved vanes act as a centrifugal pump, drawing cool air through the rotor to maintain consistent braking performance and prevent fade.
- Slotted Surface: The slotted design continuously cleans the pad surface and allows gases to escape, ensuring a positive bite and improved pedal feel.
- Durable Hardware: High-strength alloy steel drive pins are cadmium-plated for superior corrosion resistance and utilize 12-point grade 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers.
- Replaceable Rings: The 2-piece design allows for the reuse of the aluminum hat, meaning only the iron rings need replacement when worn.
