GiroDisc A1-311 2-piece rotors are a direct high-performance replacement for the factory front discs. By utilizing a lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum hat and a high-carbon iron rotor ring, these units significantly reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass. This improved weight distribution enhances suspension response and acceleration while providing superior thermal management compared to heavy, one-piece cast iron rotors.
The floating design allows the friction ring to expand and contract independently of the hat as temperatures rise, preventing the warping and coning often seen in OEM rotors during spirited driving or track use. The slotted surface ensures consistent pad bite by evacuating dust, water, and gases, while the zinc plating provides a durable barrier against corrosion.
