The Injen Hydroshield (1040BLK) is a performance-grade pre-filter designed to safeguard your intake system against water ingestion and debris buildup. Engineered for a direct fit on Injen X-1059, X-1078, and X-1079 air filters, this Hydroshield acts as a primary defense layer, extending the service life of your primary filter media while maintaining consistent airflow.
Constructed from a proprietary base media and treated with a hydrophobic water-repellent finish, the Hydroshield is designed to divert moisture away from the intake tract. It is UV resistant, puncture resistant, and features elastic properties that ensure it retains its shape and position even after repeated servicing. This pre-filter effectively blocks contaminants as small as 0.005 inches, protecting your engine from particulates that could otherwise clog your SuperNano-Web or oiled cotton gauze filter.
