The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is a critical upgrade for the Ford Flex EcoBoost engine, designed to intercept oil vapors before they reach your intake manifold. In forced-induction engines, increased crankcase pressure forces oil-laden vapors through the PCV system, which can coat intake runners and lower effective fuel octane. This separator traps those contaminants, ensuring only clean air returns to the intake track.
Milled from solid billet aluminum with a black anodized finish, this kit is built for durability and easy maintenance. It features a multistage filtration process using a fine mesh stainless steel screen and a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter to coalesce oil vapors into droplets. The 3oz tank features a knurled base for a secure grip during removal and an O-ring seal to prevent vacuum leaks.
