The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 (MPN: 3016P-C) is designed to intercept oil vapors before they enter the intake manifold, preventing the carbon buildup and octane dilution common in modern Ford engines. Milled from solid billet aluminum, this clear anodized separator captures fine oil mist that would otherwise coat intake runners and valves, particularly under the increased crankcase pressures of forced induction applications.

The unit features a sophisticated multi-stage filtration process: vapors first pass through a fine mesh stainless steel screen, then through a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter. This design causes oil droplets to coalesce and fall into the 3oz collection tank. The tank features a knurled base for easy removal and an O-ring seal to maintain vacuum integrity. For optimal performance, the tank should be drained every 2,000 to 3,000 miles.
