The K&N 57-2583 Performance Intake Kit replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing to streamline airflow and improve engine efficiency. This system features a rotationally-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube, which provides a smoother, larger-volume path for air compared to the corrugated OE ducting. To maintain a cooler intake charge, the kit includes a vehicle-specific heat shield that helps isolate the air filter from radiant engine bay heat.
At the heart of the system is an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter featuring K&N’s signature oiled cotton media. This washable, reusable filter is engineered for high-performance filtration and can go up to 100,000 miles between services under normal highway driving conditions. Designed for a straightforward installation, the kit typically bolts to factory mounting points in less than 90 minutes with standard hand tools.
