The K&N 50-2609 NextGen cold air intake system is engineered to optimize performance by reducing airflow restriction and managing intake temperatures. This system replaces the factory intake assembly with rotationally molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tubes and a custom-designed air box that shields the intake from engine heat. These modifications increase airflow volume by 59.01% CFM on the driver side and 38.3% CFM on the passenger side, delivering dyno-tested gains of up to 32.38 horsepower and 35.52 lb-ft of torque without requiring an aftermarket tune.

At the core of the system is an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter featuring washable oiled cotton media. Designed for longevity, this filter can go up to 100,000 miles between service intervals under standard highway driving conditions. The entire kit is designed for a bolt-on installation that typically takes less than 60 minutes using basic hand tools.
