The K&N Typhoon Performance Air Intake System is designed to provide a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque by replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing. This short ram system features a red powder-coated, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube that improves airflow and engine bay aesthetics. To maintain low intake temperatures, a custom heat shield is included to isolate the air filter from the heat of the engine compartment.
This system utilizes a K&N High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized conical design allows for extended service intervals of up to 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. The entire kit is designed for a straightforward installation, typically completed in 90 minutes or less using common hand tools.
