The K&N 63-1578 AirCharger Performance Intake System is designed to replace the restrictive factory air box and intake tube, providing a smoother, higher-volume path for airflow. This system utilizes a rotationally-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube to increase air delivery to the engine, resulting in improved throttle response and a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. The kit includes a custom heat shield to protect the intake air from high engine bay temperatures.

At the heart of this system is an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton media. This washable, reusable filter provides excellent filtration and can last up to 100,000 miles between services under normal highway driving conditions. The entire system is engineered for a straightforward bolt-on installation, typically completed in under 90 minutes using standard hand tools.
