The K&N Universal X-Stream clamp-on air filter (RU-1005) is engineered for high-performance applications where maximum airflow and filtration surface area are critical. Unlike traditional closed-top filters, the X-Stream series features filter media integrated directly into the top surface, significantly increasing the effective intake area to satisfy high-demand engines.
Constructed with oil-impregnated cotton gauze media, this filter is fully washable and reusable. The base is built with an ultra-strong, pliable molded rubber flange designed to absorb engine vibration and provide a secure, airtight seal. The flexible flange material allows for up to 1/16-inch (1.5mm) of stretch to accommodate variations in intake tube diameters.
