Engineering for high-performance applications, the King CR227XPCSTDX coated rod bearing set is designed to withstand the increased loads and RPMs found in performance-built 4.2L V8 and 5.2L V10 engines. This set features King's advanced XPC coating, which provides a sacrificial layer of protection against metal-to-metal contact during cold starts and extreme operating conditions. The STDX sizing offers additional oil clearance (typically .001 inch over standard), allowing for better lubricant flow and cooling in high-stress racing or forced induction environments.
