This King Engine Bearings SI-Series main bearing set is engineered for GM Vortec and Gen III/IV LS-series engines where the crankshaft journals have been machined .020" (0.50mm) undersize. Designed specifically for street and medium-duty performance applications, these bearings provide the precise clearances required after a crankshaft regrind.
The SI-Series features a sophisticated aluminum-silicon alloy construction. This material provides excellent embeddability, allowing the bearing to absorb small debris particles to protect the crankshaft surface, while maintaining high fatigue strength for long-term durability. These are a direct replacement for worn OE bearings in 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L blocks undergoing a bottom-end overhaul.
