The KYB Excel-G is engineered for the primary purpose of restoring your vehicle's original ride control, stability, and handling precision. As a global supplier to vehicle manufacturers, KYB produces the Excel-G on the same OE assembly lines using identical quality components. This ensures the part is calibrated to restore the factory-designed performance characteristics rather than changing them, earning it the OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification.
This nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube strut provides the necessary damping for consistent lane-change responsiveness and stopping power. To ensure a professional installation and reduce the risk of noise or vibration, KYB recommends installing a new strut mount (part number SM5422) concurrently with the strut.
