Inside, the 12229 utilizes a perforated stainless steel core wrapped in stainless steel mesh and high-temperature acoustic fiber fill. This design allows for maximum flow efficiency without the internal baffles found in traditional mufflers. The bi-directional, reversible 3-inch inlet/outlet configuration provides flexibility for various installation layouts. While universal in fitment, professional welding and fabrication are recommended for a secure, leak-free installation.
