Maintaining optimal oil temperature is critical for both the performance and longevity of the Subaru flat-four engine. The Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit provides a direct-fit solution designed to prevent overheating during aggressive driving. This kit features a 10-row stacked-plate cooler that offers significant surface area for heat dissipation while maintaining a compact footprint behind the grille.
The included billet aluminum sandwich plate features a rear-mounted thermostat, allowing the oil to reach operating temperature before circulating through the cooler. This ensures consistent thermal management in various climates and prevents over-cooling. The kit comes complete with application-specific mounting brackets, pre-terminated stainless steel braided oil lines, and all necessary installation hardware to bolt directly to factory points.
