The Mishimoto direct-fit top-mount intercooler kit is engineered to resolve the heat soak and failure issues common with factory plastic-tank intercoolers, which are prone to leaking or splitting at boost levels above 18 psi. This upgrade features a robust 3.75-inch thick bar-and-plate core with a total volume of 584 in³, providing significantly improved cooling capacity and air density for both street and track performance.

Constructed with TIG-welded cast aluminum end tanks, this unit is built to sustain high boost levels and supports builds from stock up to 400 whp. In rigorous testing on a stock vehicle, this kit delivered a 12°F temperature drop along with bolt-on gains of +6 whp and +8 wtq. The installation is straightforward, requiring no engine bay modifications. The kit includes a new turbo-to-intercooler O-ring gasket and a Mishimoto silicone throttle-body coupler for a complete, reliable installation.
