The Mishimoto MMTB-CTR-17 turbo blanket is designed to isolate the intense heat generated by the stock turbocharger, preventing it from radiating throughout the engine bay. By keeping exhaust gases hot within the turbine housing, this blanket maintains gas velocity for improved turbo spool and efficiency while protecting sensitive cooling and electrical components from heat soak.
This blanket is engineered for extreme thermal management, featuring an outer layer of volcanic lava rock and titanium woven fabric. The internal structure uses a high-silica fabric reinforced with stainless-steel mesh for long-term durability under high-stress conditions. The interior layer is rated to withstand temperatures up to 2,300°F (1,260°C), providing a professional-grade thermal barrier backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
