The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake Kit replaces the restrictive factory system with a high-flow setup engineered specifically for the FA20DIT engine. This kit features a mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe in a Wrinkle Black finish and a wire-reinforced silicone lower induction hose designed to prevent collapse under high vacuum and boost levels. To combat heat soak, the included enclosed airbox isolates the filter from the engine bay while retaining the factory intake ducting to draw in cool ambient air.

Independent dyno testing on the stock tune demonstrated maximum gains of up to 33 whp and 30 wtq while maintaining safe air-fuel ratios (AFRs). For those utilizing a 93 octane tune, the system is capable of supporting gains up to 70 whp and 70 wtq. The free-flowing design significantly enhances turbocharger spool sounds and bypass valve (BPV) acoustics compared to the stock airbox. Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process that typically takes one hour using standard hand tools.
