The tenth-generation Honda Accord and third-generation Acura RDX utilize turbocharged platforms with significant tuning potential, but the factory cooling system is a known bottleneck. Under sustained load or with increased boost, the thin OEM tube-and-fin intercooler quickly succumbs to heat soak, resulting in higher intake air temperatures (IATs) and pulled ignition timing. The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler (MMINT-ACRD-18BK) is engineered to solve this, providing a robust bar-and-plate core that maintains cooling efficiency even on modified vehicles.

Constructed with cast-aluminum end tanks and an oversized core measuring 27.95" x 7.34" x 3.54", this intercooler significantly increases core volume and frontal surface area compared to stock. In testing, this resulted in maximum temperature drops of 28°F and power gains of up to 22 whp and 29 ft-lb on tuned 2.0T models. The unit features a durable black powder-coated finish and is a direct bolt-on solution for a seamless installation.
