The Pedders Urethane Rear Crossmember Outer Bushing Kit is engineered to address one of the primary suspension weaknesses in the V-platform chassis: excessive rear subframe movement. The factory rubber bushings are designed for maximum isolation but often allow the rear cradle to shift under load, leading to unpredictable handling, wheel hop, and "rear-end squirm" during aggressive driving or hard acceleration.
By replacing the OE components with Pedders' low-compliance polyurethane, you significantly reduce cradle movement while maintaining a level of civility suitable for a daily-driven performance car. These bushings provide a more direct connection between the chassis and the rear suspension, ensuring the rear wheels stay properly aligned under load. Each kit features hardened crush tubes to maintain precise tolerances and withstand the rigors of high-performance use.
