The PERRIN Air Oil Separator (AOS) is a critical upgrade for turbocharged Subaru engines, designed to tackle the common issue of oil vapor entering the intake system. In high-performance applications, blow-by gases carry oil mist into the intercooler and combustion chamber, which can lower the effective octane of your fuel and increase the risk of engine knock. This AOS intercepts those gases, separates the oil, and returns it to the crankcase, ensuring only clean air enters the intake tract.
This unit features a coolant-heated design that maintains the separator body at engine operating temperature. This is essential for preventing the buildup of water and oil emulsion (sludge) in the canister during cold weather operation. Built from CNC-machined aluminum with a durable red powder coat finish, this kit includes everything needed for a complete installation.
