The Rancho RS5000X series leverages advanced Cross Tuned technology to deliver a significant upgrade in handling and ride quality for both on-road and off-road use. This twin-tube shock features a unique Progressive Engagement Valving system, specifically tuned to reduce initial impact harshness at low speeds while maintaining firm control during aggressive maneuvers. Built to handle extreme conditions, the RS55040 is filled with all-weather fluid rated for temperatures from -40 to 248°F and pressurized with nitrogen gas at 150 PSI to eliminate foaming and shock fade.
- Durable Construction: Features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, plus double-welded loops at high-stress points.
- Precision Control: A 35mm sintered iron piston provides enhanced structural integrity and quicker response to changing road surfaces.
- Protective Design: Includes a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal from debris and grit.
