The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber (RS55610) is engineered to provide a smooth, controlled ride for both on-road commuting and off-road excursions. Featuring Rancho’s exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV), these shocks are custom-tuned for the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon to reduce initial impacts at low speeds while maintaining firm control during aggressive driving. The twin-tube body is nitrogen-gas pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize aeration and shock fade, ensuring consistent damping performance under heavy use.

Built for long-term durability, the RS5000X features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior corrosion resistance and double-welded loops at high-stress points. The 35mm sintered iron piston provides structural integrity, while the fluon-banded seal ensures a consistent seal between the piston and pressure tube. Each shock includes a protective polyvinyl boot to shield the rod and oil seal from dirt, debris, and the elements.
