The Rancho RS5000X RS55279 front shock absorber uses an advanced Cross Tuned technology to bridge the gap between on-road comfort and off-road control. Built with a large twin-tube body for increased fluid capacity, this shock is designed to maintain consistent internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F. The Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for heavy-duty truck applications to minimize harshness at low speeds while providing the stability required for higher-velocity impacts.

Durability is handled by a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod that resists scuffing and corrosion, paired with double-welded loops at critical stress points. Inside, a 35mm sintered iron piston provides structural integrity while the 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge effectively reduces aeration and damping fade during aggressive driving. Each shock includes a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal from trail debris and road salt.
