The Rancho RS5000X (RS55226) shock absorber is engineered to provide a smoother ride and heightened control both on-road and in off-road conditions. Utilizing Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this twin-tube shock features a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase that improves overall handling. The Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) is custom-tuned to reduce initial impacts at low speeds, minimizing harshness across varied terrain.
- Robust Build: Constructed with a 35mm sintered iron piston and a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior structural integrity and resistance to scuffs and corrosion.
- Advanced Valving: Progressive Engagement Valving helps minimize air-to-oil mixture to reduce damping fade and foaming.
- Extreme Performance: Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI and filled with all-weather fluid to withstand internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F.
- Ride Comfort: Includes a polyurethane rebound bumper, rubber bushings, and a fluon-banded piston to enhance responsiveness and absorb road harshness.
- Durability: Features double-welded loops at stress areas and includes a polyvinyl protective boot.
