The Rancho RS5000X (MPN: RS55187) is a twin-tube gas-pressurized shock absorber engineered to improve handling and ride quality on both street and trail. Utilizing Rancho's exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV), this shock is custom-tuned to reduce initial impacts at low speeds while minimizing rough ride characteristics. The Cross Tuned technology incorporates a unique rebound valving system and advanced compression phase to improve overall stability and performance.
- Durable Construction: Built with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, paired with double-welded loops at critical stress areas.
- Thermal Stability: The large twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, allowing for consistent operation in internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F.
- Nitrogen Gas Charged: Pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize air-to-oil mixture, effectively reducing damping performance fade and foaming during heavy use.
- Smooth Operation: Features a fluon-banded 35mm sintered iron piston and a polyurethane rebound bumper to help absorb ride harshness and enhance responsiveness.
- Included Hardware: Comes complete with rubber bushings and a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the piston rod from debris.
