Fits 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Base, Laredo, Limited, Orvis, SE, TSi, and 5.9 Limited).
The Rancho RS5000X series gas-pressurized shock absorber (MPN: RS55259) provides enhanced control and a smoother ride for both on-road and off-road applications. Using Cross Tuned technology and a unique Progressive Engagement Valving system, this shock is custom-tuned to reduce harshness at low speeds while maintaining firm control during aggressive maneuvers. Its large twin-tube body is nitrogen-charged to 150 PSI to minimize oil foaming and performance fade during demanding use.
- Progressive Valving: Specifically tuned for the Jeep ZJ platform to absorb initial impacts and minimize rough-road vibration.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior corrosion resistance and double-welded loops for increased structural integrity.
- Advanced Internals: Features a 35mm sintered iron piston and a fluon-banded seal to improve responsiveness and lifespan.
- All-Weather Performance: Large twin-tube body filled with fluid rated for internal temperatures between -40°F and 248°F.
- Rod Protection: Includes a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the piston rod and self-lubricating seal from dirt and trail debris.
