The Rancho RS5000X series is engineered to provide a balanced ride for both daily driving and off-road exploration. This twin-tube rear shock features an application-specific piston design and Rancho's Progressive Engagement Valving, which reduces initial impact harshness at low speeds while maintaining control during aggressive maneuvers. Built to withstand extreme conditions, the shock utilizes a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior corrosion resistance and a 35mm sintered iron piston for structural integrity.

Equipped with a custom-tuned Compression Control Valve, the RS5000X regulates fluid transfer to prevent disc flutter and ensure consistent damping. The assembly is nitrogen-pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize aeration and foaming, ensuring performance remains stable even as internal temperatures rise. Installation is simplified with rubber bushings and a protective polyvinyl boot to shield the rod from debris.
