The Rancho RS5000X (MPN: RS55254) is a gas-pressurized twin-tube shock absorber designed to improve the handling and ride quality of your heavy-duty Ford. Utilizing Rancho's exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving, this shock is custom-tuned to reduce initial impacts at low speeds while maintaining control during aggressive maneuvers. The large 2.25-inch body holds more fluid for cooler operation, while the internal nitrogen gas charge (pressurized to 150 PSI) minimizes fluid foaming and damping fade.

Built for the demands of 3/4-ton and 1-ton trucks, the RS5000X features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, along with double-welded loops at high-stress mounting points. A 35mm sintered iron piston provides structural integrity for off-road use, and the all-weather fluid ensures consistent performance in temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F.
