Skunk2 Alpha Series Connecting Rods provide a high-strength foundation for performance D-series builds. Forged from 4340 chromoly steel, these rods utilize a precision H-beam design developed through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to identify and reinforce high-stress points. This straight-beam configuration distributes stress across a larger surface area than standard tapered rods, providing the structural integrity required to handle more than 900 HP.

These rods are manufactured using a two-piece forging process that optimizes grain orientation along the rod cap, increasing strength perpendicular to the stress exerted on the beam. To maximize durability, Skunk2 incorporates dual-offset oil passages at the pin end, ensuring consistent lubrication and cooling for the wrist pin during every phase of the engine cycle. Each rod is shot-peened for fatigue resistance, heat-treated, and magna-fluxed to ensure material integrity.
