Fits 1980-1985 Toyota Pickup and 1984-1985 Toyota 4Runner 4WD models. This Skyjacker Softride leaf spring replaces worn OE components with a progressive multileaf pack designed for improved ride quality and maximum wheel travel without sacrificing durability.
Built from high-tensile American steel, each leaf undergoes a specialized shot-peening process. By bombarding the steel with hard steel pellets at high velocities, the surface is compressed to increase tensile strength and extend the life of the spring. Unlike standard designs that use restrictive bend clips, Skyjacker utilizes bolt-style spring clips to eliminate internal friction and binding.
The leaves are tapered over their entire length, allowing for increased flex at the ends and more even load distribution. This design prevents leaves from digging into one another, ensuring smooth articulation and a load capacity that meets or exceeds original equipment specifications.
