The Skyjacker Softride C180S leaf spring is engineered to provide superior ride quality and increased wheel travel without compromising durability. Unlike standard springs that use harsh "C" style bend clips which cause friction and binding, these Softride springs utilize bolt-style spring clips to allow for smoother movement and consistent performance. Each leaf is constructed from American steel and undergoes a high-velocity shot-peening process with steel pellets. This technique compresses the steel's surface, significantly increasing tensile strength and extending the service life of the spring.

To ensure optimal flex, Skyjacker tapers the leaves across their entire length, allowing for more movement at the leaf ends. This design more effectively distributes the load over a larger area, preventing individual leaves from digging into those above them. These progressive multi-leaf packs are designed to meet or exceed original equipment load capacities while providing a more compliant ride.
